Chain Link Fence
Galvanised or black vinyl-coated chain link — the economical way to enclose a yard, pen or work site.
Chain link is the cheapest way to put a real boundary around ground, and it's still the right answer more often than people expect — dog runs, back paddocks, storage yards, ball courts and anywhere you need containment without blocking the view.
The black vinyl-coated version is worth the small step up in cost for a house. Galvanised silver reads as industrial and your eye lands on it; black recedes into the background and largely disappears against grass and trees, especially along a tree line.
Height and gauge are the decisions that matter. Four foot contains most dogs and marks a boundary; five or six foot is what you want for a jumper or genuine security. Heavier gauge wire and thicker posts cost more and matter on long runs and commercial work where the fence takes abuse.

Will chain link hold my dog?
Usually, if you match the height to the animal. Four foot stops most dogs; a determined jumper or climber wants six foot, and a digger wants a bottom tension wire or ground bar. Tell us the breed and we'll tell you honestly what holds.
Is black chain link worth the extra?
On a house, generally yes. It's a modest increase and it visually disappears where galvanised silver stands out. On a work site or back paddock where looks don't matter, plain galvanised is the sensible money.
Can you fence an odd-shaped or sloping lot?
Yes. Chain link follows grade better than panel fencing — it can be racked to run with a slope rather than stepping down it and leaving gaps underneath.
